Graduation Year: 1974 What is your favorite memory from Huntsville High?: Favorite? I am not sure, but I do remember Mrs Wright giving cooking demonstrations with her new kitchen marvel: the microwave oven, as well as having to keep all of the "players" in the Watergate scandal straight (current events) for Government class with Mrs. Hanvey. Also, I remember screams of "dead bug" in the halls during Delta Tri Sigma initiation, going to the Public Library to write papers and meet friends,Young Life at the Flemings' and many week-ends at the Ice Palace or the Whitesburg Drive-In.

Graduation Year: 1954 What is your favorite memory from Huntsville High?: As cheerleaders we had to learn (the girls did, anyway) what a first down was so that we could lead a victory yell at the games! as well as at pep rallies. This was the '53 and '54 seasons. The new Butler High had consolidated the schools all around us and those guys didn't have to come to HHS to play football anymore. It took a while for us to re-build our team.
I bought earrings while on our senior trip to New York and couldn't wear them when I got home because they were just too big. They didn't look so big in NYC! Back then most of us had not traveled that far from home and that trip really was eye opening for us, well, for me, at least.
